The journey from 3 to 6 months has been one full of changes - not just for Samantha, but for all of us. Moving halfway around the globe has had its difficulties, and Samantha has coped remarkably well. Amongst all the turmoil she has managed to continue to surprise us with her development. She is even beginning to like some Americans.

Samantha has an outgoing and friendly personality. She charmed all kids in the community where we currently reside and works on getting strangers to respond to her. Her most endearing trait at this age is her behaviour when she gets excited; she waves her arms about in excitement and kicks her legs and of course there is the big beautiful smile to go with it. This is her tactic for attracting attention from other people and it has proven to be very successful indeed!

She has graduated from lying down on the activity set and playing with her dangling toys to sitting on her own and loves to play with her toys in this new position. She has quickly recognized the limits of her reach from this position. Although, she has rolled onto her front numerous times, she has yet discover that this has given her the freedom of mobility.

She continues to enjoy the lap standing and lap dancing. She is now getting lots of enjoyment from seeing herself in the mirror. Going for walks is a favourite pastime - as long as it's in the Baby Bjorn carrier and not the pram. The world is such an interesting place to explore.

She has been babbling for some time now. On her first discourse, after the bath one evening, we all enjoyed her dissertation about ... bathing? Talking about baths, she loves a nice warm bath and gets plenty of enjoyment out of the splashing game - much to Dad's enjoyment - there is water absolutely everywhere.
