Our Pregnancy

The pregnancy itself was uneventful - no morning sickness, no cravings etc. A close friend of ours described it quite well "a clayton's pregnancy" - a pregnancy when your not having a pregnancy.

Angie was able to continue exercise including running up until the mid-way through the second tri-mester. After that she enjoyed the "preggy belly" classes (aerobics classes for pregnant women using the swiss ball) up until just prior to Samantha's birth.

Memorable interaction with Samantha prior to her arrival included:

  • feeling her kick - not too hard!
  • being able to see/feel the baby's elbows/feet/arms poking through Mum's belly
  • Daddy enjoying playing the game of poke and prode and Samantha reacting by proding back

Angie decided to finish work 2.5 weeks before Samantha's due date so that she could have some rest and relaxation.....well deserved
